Advertising Policy
Version 0.1 (draft) · Last updated 10 October 2026
Operator and data controller: Naitrons Limited, [registered address], Lagos, Nigeria (RC [number]).
This policy explains who can advertise in Triveelo games, what adverts we accept and refuse, how we review and measure them, and how payment, cancellations and refunds work.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone who books an advert, shout-out, radio spot, artist song spot or sponsored mission in a Triveelo game. It forms part of your contract with Naitrons Limited, together with the Terms of Use. Artists who upload music for free airplay should also read the Artist Terms.
Our aim is simple: adverts that fit naturally into the game world, are honest and legal, and are suitable for a young audience.
2. Who can advertise
You can book adverts if you are 18 or over and either:
- a business, organisation or sole trader advertising your own lawful products, services or events; or
- an individual booking a personal message such as a birthday shout-out.
If you book for a client, you confirm that you have their authority and that they accept this policy. You must sign in with your own email address and give accurate details, including the advertiser name shown next to your advert.
3. What you can book
Adverts are placed in the game world, never as pop-ups or interruptions to play. You can book:
- Roadside billboards: large images beside the road.
- Bus-stop and shopfront signs: street-level images.
- Vehicle wraps: livery on passing buses and vans.
- Radio jingles: 15 to 30 second audio spots between songs on in-game radio.
- Artist song spots: a song played on in-game radio with a DJ introduction and guaranteed plays per day.
- Birthday and shout-out messages: short messages from a fixed template, shown on a street sign.
- Sponsored missions: branded in-game missions, arranged directly with our team.
Bookings are by the week, starting Monday at 00:00 West Africa Time, for a chosen game, placement and area. Each placement holds a limited number of advertisers per area per week, who take turns in rotation. Prices are shown before you pay.
4. Creative standards and specifications
Technical specifications, templates and safe areas for every placement are on the media specs section of our Advertise page. In summary:
- Images: PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB, matching the placement's shape within 2%, with key content kept away from the edges.
- Audio: MP3, M4A, OGG or WAV, up to 10 MB, within the placement's length range, at a sensible volume.
- Shout-outs: chosen from our templates, with short name fields.
Every advert must also:
- be legal, decent, honest and truthful, and not mislead by what it says, shows or leaves out;
- be able to back up any claim it makes, such as prices, results or "best";
- make clear who the advertiser is;
- be suitable for players of all ages, including 13 to 17 year olds;
- not look like part of the game's controls or a system message, and not use rapidly flashing images that could trigger seizures;
- not contain offensive language, hate, violence, nudity or anything sexual;
- not use a real person's name, image or voice without their permission;
- not disparage competitors unfairly.
We add a small "Ad" mark to paid adverts. You must not remove or imitate it. We may resize, crop within the safe area or adjust your creative so that it displays properly in the game.
5. Prohibited categories
We do not accept adverts in these categories, in any placement:
- Betting and gambling
- Loans and credit
- Crypto and trading schemes
- Alcohol
- Adult content
- Political advertising
- Herbal or medical cures
We also refuse adverts for:
- tobacco, vaping and nicotine products, and recreational drugs;
- weapons, ammunition and explosives;
- prescription medicines, and any product claiming to cure, treat or prevent illness;
- weight-loss and skin-lightening products;
- get-rich-quick, pyramid, "money doubling" and investment schemes, and foreign exchange trading;
- dating and escort services;
- religious recruitment or content that attacks any faith or group;
- counterfeit goods, and anything illegal in Nigeria.
You must declare your advert's category truthfully when you book. Choosing a wrong category to get round this list is a serious breach.
6. Restricted categories
We accept the following only with extra care, and may ask for evidence such as licences, registrations or approvals before we approve:
- food and soft drinks, which must not encourage excessive consumption or target children directly;
- beauty and personal care products, which must not make medical claims;
- education and training, which must not promise guaranteed results or qualifications they cannot award;
- property, which must come from a registered developer or agent and state prices honestly;
- financial services other than loans and credit (for example payments or savings apps), which must be licensed by the relevant regulator;
- events and venues with age limits, which must say so;
- competitions and sales promotions, which must have clear terms and any approval the law requires;
- telecoms offers, which must show the main conditions and prices.
7. ARCON approval
Under the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria Act 2022, advertisements aimed at the Nigerian market generally need approval from the Advertising Standards Panel before they are exposed, and must follow the Nigerian Code of Advertising Practice. This applies to in-game and other digital adverts.
- You are responsible for getting any ARCON approval your advert needs, and for paying any vetting fees, before it goes live.
- When you book, enter your ARCON approval reference. We may require one before we approve an advert, and may refuse an advert without one.
- Your advert must match the version that was approved.
- Our review is not a substitute for ARCON approval, and approval by ARCON does not oblige us to run an advert.
8. Your rights promises and the licence you give us
When you book, you confirm that:
- you own, or have a licence for, everything in your creative, including images, logos, fonts, music, voices and trade marks;
- any music in an audio advert is cleared for this use, including any rights managed by a collecting society;
- you have permission from any person who appears, is named or can be heard in it;
- the advert complies with the law, including consumer protection and advertising law, and with this policy.
You give Naitrons Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for the booked weeks and areas, to store, adapt for display, show and play your creative in our games, in previews in the advertiser portal, and in proof-of-play screenshots or recordings. We may also keep a copy for our records and to answer regulators.
If a claim is made against us because your advert breaks these promises, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, as set out in the Terms of Use.
9. Review, rejection and automatic refunds
Every advert goes through two checks before it can go live:
- Automated checks when you upload: file type and size, image shape, audio length, offensive words and blocked terms, and the declared category.
- Human review by our team after you pay, against this policy and the law. We aim to finish review before your first booked week starts.
If we reject an advert, we tell you why and refund the full amount you paid, automatically, to your original payment method. You do not need to ask. How quickly it reaches you depends on your bank and the payment provider. You are welcome to book again with a changed creative.
We may remove an advert that is already live if it turns out to break this policy or the law, or if a regulator asks us to. If the advert was approved by us and later removed through no fault of yours, we refund the weeks not yet run. If it breaks this policy, we may not refund it.
10. How we measure adverts
We count an impression only when it meets these rules, which are the same in every game:
- Visual adverts: at least 50% of the advert is visible on screen, covering at least 1.5% of the screen, for at least one continuous second (two seconds for video).
- Audio adverts: at least two seconds of the spot plays with game sound on.
We count at most one impression per player session, booking and placed copy of the advert. Events that look fake (for example from automated browsers, at impossible rates, or without a valid session) are rejected and never counted. Unique players means distinct play sessions.
Reports in the advertiser portal show impressions and unique players by day, game and placement, and can be downloaded as CSV. Figures are updated regularly and may change slightly as late events arrive and fraud checks complete.
11. What we promise and what we do not
A weekly booking buys a place in the rotation of the booked placement, in the booked game and area, for the booked weeks. We promise to show your approved advert in that rotation during those weeks.
Unless your booking says otherwise in writing (for example an artist song spot with a set number of plays per day), we do not guarantee a number of impressions, players, clicks or sales. Player numbers vary.
If we fail to run your advert for a booked week or part of it because of a problem on our side, we will offer you a free replacement week or a refund for the time it did not run, whichever you prefer.
12. Prices and payment
- Prices are set per placement, area and week, and shown in full before you pay. Bundle discounts are shown in the total.
- Prices [include/exclude] value added tax (VAT) at the rate in force, currently 7.5% in Nigeria.
- Naira (NGN) payments are processed by Paystack. Pound (GBP) and dollar (USD) payments are processed by Stripe.
- You pay in full when you book. Your places are held for 30 minutes while you pay; if payment is not completed, the booking expires.
- A booking is confirmed once the payment provider tells us the payment succeeded. You will see it in your bookings, with its status.
- We never see or store your full card or bank details.
13. Cancellations and refunds
- Before review: you can cancel a paid booking at any time before we approve it, by emailing [contact email for support], and get a full refund.
- After approval: you can cancel any booked week that has not yet started and get a refund for those weeks. Weeks that have started are not refundable.
- Rejection: a full refund, automatically (see Review, rejection and automatic refunds).
- Our failure: a replacement week or a refund (see What we promise).
- Unpaid bookings simply expire. If a payment arrives after a booking expired or was cancelled, we refund it or, if you prefer and places are free, reinstate the booking.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. These rules do not affect your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
14. Age-group targeting
You can choose to aim a booking at one or more age groups: 18 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, or 45 and over. If you choose none, your advert is shown to everyone in the booked placement.
- Targeted adverts are shown only to adult account holders who have opted in to age-group advertising and fall in the chosen groups.
- Guests and players aged 13 to 17 never receive age-targeted adverts.
- Because only opted-in adults qualify, a targeted advert will usually reach fewer players than an untargeted one.
- You cannot target by any other personal characteristic.
15. Data in your reports
Reports contain totals only. They never include names, emails, usernames or anything else that identifies a player. Totals by age group are shown only for opted-in adults, and any age group with fewer than 50 unique players in the period is hidden.
You must not try to identify individual players from reports, or combine them with other data to do so. How we handle your own personal data as an advertiser is explained in the Privacy Policy.
16. Changes and contact
We may update this policy, for example when the law or the ARCON Code changes. Changes do not affect bookings already paid for, unless the law requires it. The version and date at the top show the latest version.
