Artist Terms
Version 0.1 (draft) · Last updated 10 October 2026
Operator and data controller: Naitrons Limited, [registered address], Lagos, Nigeria (RC [number]).
These terms explain how your music gets on Triveelo game radio: who can upload, how we verify you and your rights, the licence you give us, how streams are counted and how the monthly revenue-share pool pays you.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply when you upload music to Triveelo so that it can play on the radio stations inside our games (such as Okada FM in Okada Dash and Go-Slow FM in Change Dey). They also apply to co-owners and other rights holders who confirm a track's split sheet or receive payouts. They form a contract between you and Naitrons Limited, alongside the Terms of Use.
Paid artist song spots, which promote a track with guaranteed plays, are adverts and also follow the Advertising Policy.
2. Eligibility
To upload music you must:
- be 18 or over and able to enter a binding contract;
- have a Triveelo account and an artist profile (stage name, country, biography, links and artwork);
- own or control the rights in each track you upload, or be authorised by everyone who does.
If you act for a band, label or distributor, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for them.
3. Uploading tracks
Tracks must be MP3, M4A, OGG or WAV files between 60 seconds and 8 minutes long and no larger than 20 MB. You give each track a title, genre, release year and artwork, mark it explicit if it contains explicit lyrics, and may add its ISRC.
You choose the countries and game areas where the track may play. Explicit tracks only play in games that allow them.
Tracks and artwork must not contain hate speech, incitement to violence, sexual content involving minors, defamation, or anything illegal in Nigeria.
4. Identity and rights verification
No track plays until both you and the track have been verified.
Your identity
We check that you are a real person and who you say you are. At launch this is a manual review of a government-issued ID document and a selfie. We may later use a verification provider such as Smile ID or Stripe Identity. We delete ID images and selfies 30 days after our decision. See the Privacy Policy.
The track's rights
For each track you tell us:
- your role: owner, co-owner, label or distributor;
- your distributor, ISRC and UPC where you have them, and proof such as a distributor statement;
- a split sheet listing every rights holder, their role and share, adding up to 100%. Each co-owner receives an email and must confirm their share before the track can play;
- whether you or any co-owner is a member of a collecting society (see Collecting societies).
Where a fingerprinting service is set up, we compare the audio with known recordings. A match with another owner, or a collecting-society declaration, sends the track to manual review. We may ask for more evidence and may refuse a track if we are not satisfied.
Before you add co-owners' names and email addresses, tell them that you are sharing their details with us for this purpose. We use them only to confirm the split and make payouts.
5. Your promises
For each track you upload, you promise that:
- you own or control the sound recording (master) and the musical work (composition and lyrics), or have written permission from everyone who does;
- any samples, interpolations or beats are cleared for this use;
- the split sheet is complete and accurate, and every co-owner has agreed to the track playing on Triveelo on these terms;
- you have not granted anyone exclusive rights that stop you giving us the licence below;
- the track, artwork and metadata do not infringe anyone's rights or break the law;
- the information you give us, including your identity, is true.
If any of these promises turns out to be untrue and someone makes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, as set out in the Terms of Use. Your earnings may also be held back while a dispute is resolved.
6. The licence you give us
For each approved track, you give Naitrons Limited a licence that is:
- non-exclusive: you remain free to release, sell, stream and license your music anywhere else;
- royalty-free: we pay no fee per play. Instead, verified artists share in the monthly revenue-share pool described below;
- limited to Triveelo: to store, stream and play the track inside Triveelo games, in the countries and areas you choose, and to cache it on players' devices so the games work offline;
- to show your stage name, artwork, track title and metadata in the games, on the radio and on Triveelo artist pages, and to create a short spoken DJ introduction using your stage name and track title (which may be generated with text-to-speech);
- in force until the track is taken down, plus the short time needed for cached copies on players' devices to refresh.
You keep all your rights in the music. We will not sell, sublicense or distribute your track outside Triveelo, or use it in adverts for other businesses, without your separate written agreement. Each track records the version of these terms that applied when you uploaded it.
7. Collecting societies
Many artists and songwriters assign some of their rights to a collective management organisation (collecting society), such as the Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) or the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) in Nigeria, or PRS for Music and PPL in the United Kingdom. Under the Copyright Act 2022, approved collecting societies license and collect royalties for the rights their members have given them.
- If you or a co-owner have given a collecting society control of the rights needed to play your track, you may not be able to give us a royalty-free licence on your own. You must tell us when you upload.
- We may then need a licence from the society before the track can play, or may decide not to play it.
- Payments from the revenue-share pool are a voluntary share of our advertising income. They are separate from, and do not replace, any royalties a collecting society collects for you.
8. How streams are counted
- A stream is counted when at least 30 seconds of your track plays with the game's sound on.
- At most one stream is counted per player session per track.
- A stream is marked completed when 90% of the track has played.
- Streams are checked with the same anti-fraud measures as adverts: a signed session token, rate limits and bot detection. Streams flagged as fraudulent are not counted.
- A qualified stream is a counted stream that has passed fraud checks and the holdback period. Only qualified streams earn money.
Free airplay is shared fairly across approved tracks in each area, and the same track is never played twice in a row to the same player. We do not guarantee any number of plays or streams, except for paid artist song spots.
You must not inflate your streams, for example with bots, scripts, paid traffic or by leaving games running unattended. If you do, we may remove the streams, withhold earnings and close your account.
9. The revenue-share pool
Each calendar month, separately for each country:
- The pool is a percentage of Triveelo's net advertising revenue in that country. Net revenue means paid bookings, less refunds and payment provider fees.
- Each track's share is the pool multiplied by that track's qualified streams in that country, divided by all qualified streams in that country that month.
- Each rights holder's share of a track's earnings follows the confirmed split sheet.
The pool percentage for each country is shown in your artist dashboard. We will give at least 30 days' notice before reducing it. Some countries may not have a pool yet; tracks still play there but do not earn.
10. Holdback and fraud checks
Before a month is closed, its streams are held back for 30 days so that fraud found late can be removed. After the holdback we close the month, review the figures and then release payouts. If fraud is discovered after a payout, we may deduct the overpaid amount from future earnings.
11. Minimum payout and payout methods
- Minimum payout: each currency has a minimum, shown in your dashboard. Earnings below it roll over to the next month until the minimum is reached.
- Nigerian bank accounts (NGN): paid by Paystack Transfers.
- Other currencies (such as GBP): paid through Stripe Connect.
- Each rights holder sets up their own payout account. Earnings for a holder without a payout account are kept in their balance until they add one.
- Payment providers' transfer fees and exchange rates may apply.
12. Taxes
You are responsible for declaring and paying tax on your earnings. Where Nigerian law requires us to deduct withholding tax or another tax from a payout, we will do so, pay it to the tax authority and give you evidence of the deduction. We may ask for your tax identification number. Tax treatment of payouts is still being confirmed with our accountants; we will update this section before the first payouts.
13. Statements and reports
Your artist dashboard shows streams, unique listeners, completion rate, top tracks and breakdowns by day, game, city and country, with CSV downloads. After each month is closed you get a statement showing the pool, your qualified streams, your share and any amount rolled over. If you think a statement is wrong, tell us within 90 days at [contact email for support] and we will look into it.
14. Takedown and copyright notices
Your takedown
You can take down any track at any time from your artist area. It is removed from the line-up we serve straight away. Copies cached on players' devices stop playing when the game next refreshes its daily line-up, normally within 24 hours. Qualified streams earned before the takedown are still paid.
Our removal
We may remove or pause a track if we receive a credible rights claim, a co-owner withdraws their confirmation, a collecting society objects, the track breaks these terms or the law, or a regulator asks us to.
Reporting infringement
If you believe a track or artwork on Triveelo infringes your copyright, email [contact email for support] with:
- your name and contact details, and on whose behalf you act;
- the work you say is infringed, and where it appears on Triveelo (game, station, track title or artist);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that your notice is accurate;
- your signature (a typed name is fine).
In line with the Copyright Act 2022, we act promptly: we tell the uploader and remove or disable the track if they cannot justify it. The uploader can send us a counter-notice explaining why the track is lawful.
15. Ending these terms
You can stop at any time by taking down your tracks and closing your artist profile. We can end these terms, or stop playing your music, with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously break them.
When these terms end, your tracks stop playing. Qualified earnings due to you are paid at the next payout run once they reach the minimum, unless they are held because of fraud or a rights dispute. Your promises, the indemnity and anything needed to settle earnings continue after the end.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that reduces your rights or earnings. If you do not agree, you can take your tracks down before the change takes effect. The version and date at the top show the latest version.
